It now has been two long weeks at camp where I have had an amazing time, made some wonderful memories and meet some beautiful people but can't lie and say i'm not looking forward to coming home. There is just something about home that is always comforting and where so many of your loved ones live. Here are some things I have missed while being at camp...

I have always been ready for anything so I carry a lot in my purse. I am curious as to what most women carry everyday so I thought i'd share with you all what I typically carry in my purse. Still to this day I do not understand how men don't feel the need to carry around a purse and manage to fit everything they need in their pockets. I consider a purse a must daily, so here is what I carry

1.White Guess wallet
2. I-pod

OOTD: Back to the Basics

All photo's for Simply Lacey

I have always been a girl who loves her colours, but latley I have been going back to basic colours that are really neutral and go with everything. When I was younger I never really owned any black pieces but have since relized that is a more mature colour and have been wearing it more often. In this outfit I kept it simple as I ran a LOT of errands that morning (and changed into flip flops) but still manged to keep it from looking like something I would wear at night by adding in a lighter coloured top but still required little effort or fuss.

Although it has a chain for the day, my purse can change into a clutch for night

Top: American Eagle, Skirt: Zara, Heels: Fioni Night, Clutch:Aldo, Belt: Vintage

A hair style I have been sporting latley is a sidebraid pulled back into a low bun

Hope you all are having a lovely week!

You Make Me Smile

All picture taken by me

Summer is my favourite time of the year, not just because I no longer have school or get to wear bright colours but because it is a time to relax and enjoy all the little things that make me happy. The sun has not stopped shining and I can't stop smiling! I have been swimming most days and one of my friends recently surprised me with a small present which is the ballerina necklace above that was such a sweet thought and fits me perfectly as I have been dancing for 13 years. These are the things that made me smile this week...

YSL...Yes Please!

I have been a long time fan of the iconic Yves Saint Laurent and they continue to be one of my most desired purchases to posses. They are classic and still remain a chic piece in any moden girls closet. I have been recently eyeing my favourite piece from YSL which is the clutch and I especially love it in the beige and am contemplating buying it sometime in the near future, although my birthday is in a few months (hint hint!)

 I couldn't love it more!!

DO IT

Pictures via. Google Images

Even though this is a fashion blog, us ladies need to do a little bit of work to keep our dress size the same so I thought I would post today about fitness. We don't need to workout to look perfect because I know I don't, but I like to workout because it makes me feel healthy AND happy! Although it takes a lot of motivation to start your workout once you start, it will become a habit. Your workouts should be something you enjoy doing so it doesn't feel like work. Being healthy is not just about working out, it is also a combination of eating well too. You can't go and workout for an hour than eat Mcdonalds and still expect to lose some weight, that is if you are doing this often. Every food is okay in moderation!

Yoga is a great way to workout because it stretches your body, helps you relax and build muscle while doing it. It doesn't feel like a workout that runs you out of energy, instead you will leave feeling calmer and more ready to go than ever. My friends and I recently started going to a yoga studio and have really enjoyed hot yoga especially. It is done in a heated room and you do your yoga poses while you sweat a bunch which is good for your body and pores. I always leave feeling re-energized for the week.

Running is tougher and energy draining but is one of the best workouts there is. It tones you all over and allows you to workout without having to pay for a gym membership. To stay in the habit, get motivated by going with a group of friends who will push you and won't allow you to miss out, plus it's a lot more fun! If you don't have anyone to go with, music is alway a good motivator and make sure you change your music often!
When you work out you will feel proud of yourself and feel bettter about your body every day. Don't stop and go back to it every once in a while or skip it because your tired because then you break any habit your body has gotten into. Not only does exercise help you feel more fit, but it also helps your confidence and self-esteem. It can leave you feeling empowered and beautiful, even in bathing suit season. So don't just wait around, DO IT!

What is your favourite workout or motivation?

Later Ladies

Pictures by me

Unfortunately I will be going to camp as a counselor in training (CIT) and will be away for two weeks! But don't worry there will still be posts throughout the weeks on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I will miss blogging everyday but can't wait to read the comments and answer any questions when I return. I am looking forward to camping, all the activities, getting fit and the bay is right there with beautiful sunsets. Hopefully I will take pictures and look forward to sharing them with you.

I will miss you all!

OOTD: Peachy

Last night I went out for a dinner for a birthday in the family at Red Lobster. I thought I would share what I wore out and started a new posting called outfit of the day (OOTD). I recentley have been buying all things white for summer. I think it just feels light and looks great with a tan. I kept most of my outfit in neutral colours but wanted to add a bit of colour somewhere so I added it by using my light pink-peachy clutch that I purchased a few weeks ago and have fallen in love with. And of course I couldn't resist wearing my new heels, the bows are just so girly!

Top: American Eagle, Shorts: H & M, Clutch: H & M, Shoes: Anne Klein

Such a pretty peachy-pink colour

My favourite pair of earrings in the world from Forever 21

What is your favourite accessory to add to an outfit?

Bow-utiful

Yesterday, My mom and I went on a little shopping trip and I ended up leaving with a very pretty new purchase. I bought a pair of Anne Klein shoes that I feel in love with the minuet I slipped them on. Although they came with a pretty hefty price tag, they were still on sale and I knew they had to be mine. They reminded me of a similar version of a Valentino shoe I recently saw. I couldn't be more pleased with how comfortable they are and am hoping they will last me years to come! The only thing I am unsure of is how they fit. I typically am a size 9 in shoes so I tried them on and they were to big, so I tried on an 8 and a half and they seemd to fit better. When I got home though they still seemed big so I am going back to the store tomorrow to try on a size 8 and see if they fit better. Regardless these shoes will be a go-to for a long time!

Hope you all had a lovely day!
