For some Valentine's day is the most dreaded holiday of the year, while others swoon over the thought of the quickly approaching date. Whether you are in a relationship or not, Valentine's day can still be something to celebrate. I rounded up some of my favourite gift ideas to pass along to the boyfriend and to spark ideas for little gifts to give your fellow single ladies. Provided there is a little something for everyone, fun sunglasses for the quirky BFF or perhaps sweet poetry to receive from the love of your life. So celebrate all the love in your life and take the time to tell those YOU love how much you appreciate them.

Now I know it's almost spring but here in Canada the cold is still nipping and is relentless as ever. So for those fellow readers who are still in winter weather I wanted to put together a few of my favourite winter looks that will keep you cozy and relaxed that can be carried over to spring when the air becomes warmer but you still need an added layer of warmth. Try a bright, fun colour to beat the winter blues

I adore polka dot sweaters that look great layered

For a more casual look throw on a patterned sweater with basic leggings 

and complete it with a top knot and classy pearls 

Throw a scarf over your sweater for added warmth and a casual-cool style 

Mix and match two different patterns in contrasting colours for a bold statement 

and keep the jewellery minimal 

For slightly warmer days add a knit over a light weight dress and 

top it off with rugged boots

I thought I would start a new segment where I share my favourites at the end of every month filled with clothing, beauty products, and more!

After a month in Italy on the trip of a lifetime, I truly had the best experience. I enjoyed amazing food, beautiful scenery and even better company. I can't deny I'm not glad to be home though and am ready to get back into blogging. I will share more details from my trip this week so stay tuned! I just wanted to share my new favourite way of gathering inspiration which is my little side project on my tumblr. Every day I will add a new picture and hopefully inject a little bit of happiness to your day and provide a small amount of daily couture into your life. It is still a little bit of a work in progress along with the blog but I hope it will be perfect by the end of the month.

One of my latest obsessions as of recently is Bauble Bar. There are so many options to choose from and so many bright colours that make me fall more and more in love with this brand. My utmost favourites are always the rose gold pieces or anything neutral with a slight pop of colour. Another great feature is the amazing prices for the quality that you get with these pieces.

Sensational Summer

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! For me one of the must frustrating and exciting parts of summer is going swim suit shopping. I love all the colours and prints but you have to be wary of which one is going to fit your body type best. Something I have learned over time that certain brands just fit you best as well as each year they will continue with a few signature styles. Another piece of advise is if you find THE perfect bathing suit that comes in many colours, don't just get one, get multiple because if it fits you right you will feel 10x more confident at the beach. 

One thing I love to do is mix and match bathing suits. Don't be afraid to try a new combination every once in a while because sometimes a more extravagant top looks better with basic bottoms instead of the matching ones it comes with and vice versa. If you haven't bought your summer suit yet, I hope this helps you on your swimsuit quest! 

Summer Wish List

             
I know that summer is already half way over but there are still multiple things that I would like to purchase over the next few months. I adore anything that is a plush pink colour and lately it has really reflected into my wardrobe. All these pieces can easily be transferred over when fall approaches by simply adding in some more darker colours such as browns, mustard yellow, rich plum and navy blues.
